Portrait of MiAL Artist Agnese TaurinaAgnese Taurina

BA Illustration, Central Saint Martins 2016

Agnese’s interests in design history, ancient philosophies, womanhood and yoga often manifests in her work. Comprised of screen prints which include many cultural layers and references, her designs are often mystical feminine and bold.

Agnese explores states of mind such as contemplation, pleasure, trance and ecstasy using influences such as Mark Rothko to help dictate her colour palette and take her audience to a sensual and magical world.

"Quite a lot of research was done to create the imagery. One of my favourite places in London is Victoria & Albert museum, I looked at sculptures, fabric prints, and other objects displayed there to get inspiration."
