BA Visual Arts Painting, Camberwell College of Arts 2017
Peter’s etching seeks to revisit the past. It questions ideas associated with contemporary views of the Modernist legacy, whether utopian or dystopian.
The work deals with history, temporality, presence and surface. Peter finds that he is often overwhelmed when he experiences iconic buildings from the twentieth century, and underwhelmed when walking around London looking at all the new buildings.
Through his work he to investigates why this should be. From his work Peter hopes that his audience get an enjoyment of the printed surface, and perhaps reflect on what they might consider interesting architecture.
