BA Fashion Textiles, London College of Fashion 2014
Simon employs an organic process within his work, painting from his own photography and then developing and refining the work using technology. This process continues to impsire him in how personal it is and how it provides a connection to his work as a platform to think and release emotions.
Icelandic landscapes and how such naturalism can sit in relation to modern technology are a primary source for Simon. He is constantly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of new innovative techniques and materials for the future of textiles within fashion as well as striving to achieve a high sense of luxury design and finish within the overall product, brand and packaging.
“I wish for my work to provoke a feeling through the visual, with a question towards the inspiration and sense of the concept.”
